WHAT IS A CHRONOLOGICAL 4 GOSPEL BIBLE?
The Chronological 4 Gospels are the accounts of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, with a few verses from Acts and 1st Corinthians, combined in chronological form. This enables a person to read and study all four as a unit. One can read Matthew’s account of an event, and then read the same event in the other accounts. There are certain events that are only presented in one or two, but others are presented in all 4. A student of the Bible can now read and study how and when all the events occurred in relation to each other. Thus, a person’s knowledge and understanding of God’s Word should increase as the Holy Spirit gives the understanding.

INTRODUCTION

The question arises. Does God want “you” to be healed?
The answer to that according to His Word is yes; yes–but later; and no.
The question also arises–Why are you sick in the first place?
The question also arises–Are you willing to meet God’s requirements to be healed?
Do you even know what God’s requirements are?
Are you sick or hurting, because you are involved in sin and will not admit your sin or repent, but say to yourself, I am not doing anything wrong?
Are you sick or hurting, because you will not repent of some personal desire? In other words, you say–I am going to do what I want or eat what I want, no matter what the consequences are.
Are you sick or hurting, because you will not read and obey the Gospel?
Are you sick or hurting, because you are a lukewarm Christian?
Are you sick or hurting, so that God may be glorified, as were many cases in the Bible?
Are you sick or hurting, because God needs to teach you something?
Are you sick or hurting, because you just do things you shouldn’t do?

This message is directed toward true, born–again Christians and those that are repentant and seeking God.
It is also directed to the unbeliever and make–believe Christian with the intent that their spiritual eyes may be opened, and they may come to true repentance as outlined in God’s Word.

This is a sermon based on the Bible, not on some preacher that tries to deceive you by taking a verse here and there and making them into some sort of doctrine that people’s itching ears want to hear.

There are preachers that may say they have never been sick a day in their life so this is proof you, a Christian, should never be sick. But then, there are people that are not Christians that in the same way just don’t seem to ever get sick.

The fact is that Christians do get sick. Some get sick, because they did dumb things before they became a Christian. They smoked for a long time. They got drunk a lot. They may have been permanently injured in some sort of an accident. They may be way overweight. They may live in very unsanitary conditions.

The subject of why a person gets sick, and then may or may not be healed by God, can be very complex. Many Scriptures in the Bible touch on this subject either directly or indirectly. This message attempts to use the whole counsel of God to cover this subject.

The word sickness appears in the Bible approximately. 20 times, the word hurt about 63 times, the word suffer about 96 times, and the word suffering about 5 times.

When sin entered into the world through Adam, many other things also entered into the world, such as sickness and suffering. The creation itself became subject to decay, and a curse was put upon the land. Note God’s Word, regarding the result of Adam sinning.

Gen 2:16–17–And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Satan tempted Eve, and she did sin. It is much the same today. Satan speaks to us in our thoughts, but we think it is our own thoughts. It just does not enter our mind that the thoughts we have to do wrong are from the devil. The idea that Satan speaks to us in our thoughts is absolutely absurd to nearly everyone.

The serpent spoke to Eve and tempted her to disobey God and eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Gen 3:6–And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. Adam had sinned. God's penalty for sin comes next.

Gen 3:17–19–And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it:

    CURSED is the ground for thy sake;
    in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
    Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee;

    and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread,
till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

    Ro 8:16–23–The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint–heirs with Christ;
if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the     bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
Ro 8:22, 23–For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

Ro 5:12–Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.

Note the words of God: cursed, sorrow, sweat, suffer, suffering, vanity, bondage, corruption, groaneth, pain, and death.

Remember, the most important thing to most people can be summarized in these words: Me, Myself, and I. I will, I shall, I want. Also my life, my career, my happiness, my desire, my future. Note Isa 14:13–15, which are the words of Lucifer (which is Satan, the serpent). However God’s Word to Lucifer are these: Lk 14:15–Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell.

The most important thing to the very few real Christians that exist is Jesus, doing the will of God, and Lk 11:2–Thy will (God’s will) be done, as in heaven, so in earth.

Which set of words best fits you? Life is a test to see if you will believe and obey the Gospel or not. Follow the ways of the world now, inherit hell. Follow Jesus now and suffer as Jesus did, but after inherit eternal life and joy beyond what you can imagine.

Ja 5:14,15–IS ANY SICK AMONG YOU?
    a–the sick person.            LET HIM CALL FOR THE ELDERS OF THE CHURCH;
a–the elders                      AND LET THEM PRAY OVER HIM,
b–the elders                      ANOINTING HIM WITH OIL IN THE NAME OF THE LORD:
AND THE PRAYER OF FAITH SHALL SAVE THE SICK,
    a–the Lord                        AND THE LORD SHALL RAISE HIM UP;
b–the Lord                       AND IF HE HAVE COMMITTED SINS, THEY SHALL BE FORGIVEN HIM.
    Ja 5:16–
b–the sick person             CONFESS YOUR FAULTS ONE TO ANOTHER,
c–the sick person             AND PRAY ONE FOR ANOTHER,
                                             THAT YE MAY BE HEALED.
THE EFFECTUAL FERVENT PRAYER OF A RIGHTEOUS MAN AVAILATH MUCH.
Note what these verses command the sick person to do.

1–The sick person is to call for the elders of the church.

Why can’t the sick person call for people other than the elders? The answer is that true, born again elders are men that should meet the biblical criteria for being an elder. They are obedient men that should be grounded in God’s Word, men of faith.
The elders (plural) are to pray over the sick person.
They are to anoint the sick person with oil. This is to be done in the name of the Lord. That name is Jesus. They are to offer their prayer in faith, not doubting.

As a result of this, the Lord shall raise the sick person up.
If the sick person is sick because of sin (which is sometimes the case), the sick person shall be forgiven. He needs to be forgiven so the healing can take place. This indicates clearly that the sick person needs to have a humble, repentant, obedient attitude. The person is not to hide their sin, continue in their ungodly ways and attitude, or be in a state of denial.

A person is sick because of sin and comes up to be healed, but says nothing more than, “I'm just a sinner,” or “I do lots of wrong things,” but fails to confess their specific sin openly, how can they be healed? They have chosen not to believe God’s Word, which straightly commands them to CONFESS THEIR FAULTS. They have chosen to believe God will heal them, even though they will not be open and transparent about their sins. If a person is not prepared to obey God in this command, then there appears to be no reason for him to come up and have hands laid on him, for he comes up in a state of rebellion against God’s Word, which may be the very reason he is sick in the first place. And should he be corrected by the elders, yet maintains secrecy about certain sins, how can that person have any confidence he will be healed?

The sick person is to confess their faults (or sins) one to another.
In addition, the sick person is to pray for others that are also sick that they may be healed. Note the word “may” be healed. Should the person be sick because of sin, but not be willing to confess their faults and pray one for another, then they may not be healed, as they have chosen not to believe God’s Word.

What does this mean that they have chosen not to believe God’s Word? They have chosen to believe they don't really have to confess their sin openly, which is choosing not to believe God’s Word that commands them to do so. They hear a wrong thought in their mind that runs contrary to God’s Word, which is what their heart wants to believe. In other words, they do not want to confess their faults openly where all can hear. They may be embarrassed, or ashamed, or afraid of what might happen as a result of confessing certain fault, so they don't do it. Then, afterwards, they don't understand why they are not healed, but rather they may get worse and worse. They may wind up in a hospital, dying or living the remainder of their life in torment and misery. A person that will not confess their faults openly as God commands, but only generalizes their sin, does not have a humble, repentant, obedient heart. Yet, if he will still humble himself and repent, and not forsake that repentance, things can change.

One of three types of people may come up to be healed.
    1. A person comes up, but has not prepared his heart to repent. He may not even believe he is doing anything wrong. Or he may believe he is a sinner, but will not acknowledge his sin and strongholds Satan has in his life.

    2. A person comes up that is sick because of their life–style. Perhaps he eats foods that are very bad for him. Perhaps he does exercises that his older body rebels against. Yet he will not repent of the very things that are causing him pain or difficulties. He will not take sound advice to make a few changes that will help him. He makes excuses, because he is stubborn and doesn’t use common sense. As the Bible says:
Pv 30:12–There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.
Isa 5:21–Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
Pv 21:2–Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts.
People such as this may have hands laid on them over and over, but nothing happens. Some of these people may call prayer lines over and over, but nothing happens.

    3. A person comes up and may confess some sin or just generalizes his sin, but leaves out the particular sin for which he is sick, as he wants to keep it secret.

    4. A person comes up with a humble and repentant heart and confesses all. Which one of these 4 do you think will be healed?

The verse ends with these words: THE EFFECTUAL FERVENT PRAYER OF A RIGHTEOUS MAN AVAILETH MUCH (or is powerful and effective). The elders should be righteous men. The person coming up to be healed should be righteous before God, because he has chosen to obey God’s instructions to the letter, when coming up to have hands laid on him.

A person that seeks healing, if he does it God’s way, can expect to be healed. But if the healing does not take place, then he should understand (in most cases) that what he is going through is a test meant to help him draw closer to Jesus. Such was Paul’s case–ref 2 Cor 12:9.

When a person comes up to be healed, should they have a repentant heart?

Yes, God can and will heal sick people.

Why then are so many sick and not being healed? Remember—life is a test.
Many that are sick and believe they are a Christian, are a Christian only in word, but not in deed. They examine themselves by their emotions, wrong thoughts, or other things. They do not examine themselves by God’s Word to see if they are really born again, fruit–bearing, in the faith, obedient servants of God. Many have not repented. Some are excuse makers. They are accusers. They continue in their sin. They are not faithful in hearing, doing, and studying God’s Word. They do not obey God’s Word and His commandments. They do not serve God the way God has told them to. They do not love the brethren. Some do not tithe. Some go to churches where Jesus is standing outside the door, but they won’t let Him in. Some do not even go to church. They are lukewarm Christians. Some have never been baptized by full immersion in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost AFTER repenting and believing in Jesus Christ. Some were only baptized by sprinkling or as an infant–which is no baptism at all. Note Mt 28:19,20; Ro chapter 6; Col 2:12; Acts 2:38. Many listen to and believe the new, lukewarm, unbiblical teachings of this latter day church age, which God will spit out. Their faith is no faith.

Some may call for prayer over and over and over. They may put in many prayer requests and have many praying for them; yet they are not healed. In many cases, it is because they will not obey God and do things according to the Bible. They are biblically illiterate. Nevertheless, God loves them and may be trying to get them to repent and surrender to Him.

Understand, when a person disobeys God, they open a door for Satan to attack them. It is written, Eph 4:27– NEITHER GIVE PLACE TO THE DEVIL. Any disobedience to the Bible can open the door to Satan to attack a person. This attack can come in the way of sickness and physical impairment. A person calling for the elders may need to be renewed in the spirit of their mind. They may have been backsliding. They may need to again put on the new man, which is after God. They may need to put off dishonesty, anger, wrath, and corrupt and worldly speaking. They may have grieved the Holy Spirit. They may need to put off bitterness and return to being kind one to another, forgiving one another, as Christ did for them–ref Eph 4.

When a person repents and seeks God with all their heart, God is there to help. Sickness can sometimes get a person’s attention. When a person is flat on their back, they are in a better position to look up.

WHY ARE YOU SICK? WHY ARE WE CHASTENED?
(Also see—some conditions to be healed)
Why do people, including Christians, get sick? Does the Bible give us some clues to this question? Yes.
Does the Bible tell us that some people may have a curse upon themselves, because they do certain sins and do not repent? Yes. Many of these should be listed below.

Some people may get sick for no apparent reason, such as the common cold, the flu, and other such ailments. Some may get sick from certain things because of their family history. Others may be around people that are sick, and they catch it also.

There are many that get sick, because they do unwise things.     Some smoke and smoke, and then eventually get cancer or heart disease or other related diseases.
Some take drugs and ruin parts of their body.
Some work occupations that are hazardous to their health.
Some eat the wrong kinds of foods, which eventually cause them problems.
Some are very overweight, because they have no will power to eat the right things or to eat in moderation. As a result, a whole list of diseases may hit them. Their joints may begin to plague them early in life, because of their weight. It has been clearly demonstrated that anyone can lose some weight, if they are willing to make changes in their lifestyle and eating habits. Excuse–makers seldom make changes. They simply make dishonest statements that no matter what they do, they can’t lose weight. They are willing to put up with various sicknesses, heart conditions, plus body and joint deterioration, as long as they can eat the way they want and avoid exercise and make excuses.

Then they cry out to the Lord, “Lord heal me”; but no healing takes place, because no repentance takes place; or they ignored the Lord’s call for too long–ref Pv 1:24–32.

Then there are those that get sick because of specific reasons.
Some get sick, as God is chastening them. God wants them to seek Him–ref Hos 5:15.
Some get sick as their faith is tried. The trying of a person’s faith works patience–ref Ja 1:3.
Some will not tithe and give offerings–ref Mal 3:9.
Some trust in man rather than God–Jere 12:5.
Some take communion unworthily–1 Cor 11:29,30.
Some will not give to the poor–ref Pv 28:27.
Some get sick and cannot be healed, as they have an idol in their house.     Some preach another gospel.
Some are sick, as they serve God grudgingly or won’t serve Him at all. Deut 28:47–Because thou servest not the Lord thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things.
Some get sick because of sin. Jere 30:14–…I have wounded thee with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the multitude of thine iniquity; because thy sins were increased.

Some may have a curse on them, because of something they did or did not do. Thus, they cannot be healed unless they admit their sin and repent. Many will not do this, as they are blind to their sin and will not be corrected by God’s Word or by those that have the spiritual oversight over them.
Some refuse to obey God; thus, there may be a curse on them.

    Why you may be sick?
Hos 5:15–You may be sick, because God is trying to get you to seek Him.
Because your faith is being tried. The trying of your faith worketh patience–Ja 1:3.

    Why might you be sick?
Because you will not obey God. There is a curse on you. Why may there be a curse on you? Because you are not tithing and giving offerings–Mal 3:9.
Because you are trusting in man rather than God–Jere 13:5.
Because you took communion unworthily–1 Cor 11:29,30.
Because you do not give to the poor–Pv 28:27.

    Why might you be sick?
Because you have turned away from God–ref Deut 12:26.
Because there is an idol or something that is accursed in your house–Deut 7:26.
Because you preach another gospel–Gal 1:8,9
Because you serve God grudgingly or don't serve God at all. Deut 28:47–Because thou servest not the Lord thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart for the abundance of all things.

    Why may you be sick?
Because of sin–Jer 30:14–16–…for I have wounded thee with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the multitude of thine iniquity; because thy sins were increased. Why criest thou for thine affliction? thy sorrow is incurable for the multitude of thine iniquity: because thy sins were increased, I have done these things unto thee.
Jn 5:14–…Jesus…said, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.

    Why might you be sick?
Because you have come against a child of God in some way. Jere 30:17–Therefore all they that devour thee shall be devoured; and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they that spoil thee shall be a spoil, and all that prey upon thee will I give for a prey.

Because you have not forgiven others. Mt 6:15–For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

    Why may you be sick?
Because you have forsaken God or turned from God–Deut 12:26.
Deut 28:20–Thou hast forsaken me. 21–The Lord shall make pestilence cleave unto thee…22–The Lord shall smite thee with a…fever, and with an inflamation. 27–and with emerods, and with the scab, and with the itch, whereof thou canst not be healed. 28–The Lord shall smite thee with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart.

Does this teaching sound like anything you may have heard from any of the Bible teachers that teach on being healed from the Bible? Probably not. THIS IS THE WORD OF GOD, not some form of unbiblical teaching that has been put together by taking a few Scriptures out of context.

Why else might you be sick?
You may be sick because of pride, an unforgiving heart, or murmuring, or perhaps so God can be glorified.

Jn 9:1–3–And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be (displayed in his life–NIV).

A person may be sick, because they have not submitted to God or God’s Word; thus, how can he resist the devil as the Bible commands him to do?–ref Ja 4:7. We cannot expect to be under God’s protection, if we give a place to Satan. For it is written, Eph 4:27–Neither give place to the devil.

(COMMUNION)
You may be sick because you took communion, while not examining yourself and not recognizing the Lord's body. For it is written in 2 Cor 13:5–Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
What does it mean–not discerning or recognizing the Lord's body?
1 Cor 11:25,26. …He took the cup,…saying, This cup is the new testament (or covenant) in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew (or proclaim) the Lord's death till he come.
27–Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, (or in an unworthy manner) shall be guilty (sinning) (against) the body and blood of the Lord.
28–32 But let a man examine himself (before he eats of the bread) , and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation (or judgment) to himself, not discerning (or recognizing) the Lord's body. For this cause (or this is why) many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
But when we are judged, we are chastened (or being disciplined) of the Lord, (so) that we should not be condemned with the world.

Again, what does it mean to not recognize or discern the Lord's body? We need to recognize what the death of Jesus meant, as well as what the body and blood of Jesus meant.
The bread represents the body of Jesus–ref Mt 26:26. Jesus is the bread of life.
    The cup represents His blood.

(The body of Jesus)
(Jesus is the bread of life)
(The blood of Jesus)
    Jesus said:
I Jn 4:10–This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and SENT HIS SON AS AN ATONING SACRIFICE FOR OUR SINS (NIV).
1 Cor 15:3…CHRIST DIED FOR OUR SINS.
1 Pe 2:24…Jesus,…Who HIS OWN SELF BARE OUR SINS IN HIS OWN BODY ON THE TREE, that we,…should live unto righteousness.

Jn 6:48–63. 48–Jesus said, I am that bread of life.
50–This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.
51–I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
52–The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat?
53–Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
54–Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
55–For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.     56–He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.
57–As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.
58–This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.
63–It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Jesus goes on to tell us:
Mt 26:28 FOR THIS IS MY BLOOD OF THE NEW TESTAMENT, WHICH IS SHED FOR MANY FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS.
Eph 1:7…WE HAVE REDEMPTION THROUGH HIS BLOOD, THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS.
Col 1:14…WE HAVE REDEMPTION THROUGH HIS BLOOD, EVEN THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS
Rev 1:5–Jesus Christ,…HIM THAT LOVED US, AND WASHED US FROM OUR SINS IN HIS OWN BLOOD.

These are sacred. Yet, many partake of the sacred with unrepented sin in their life.
Many partake of communion, but have little or no discernment or understanding of what they are doing or what the body and blood of Jesus represents. They have little or no true understanding of the incredible sacrifice that God made, so that their sins might be washed away. They have little or no understanding that they must repent and turn from their self–centered, worldly–centered life and give the control of their life over to Jesus.

They have little or no understanding of sin, biblical repentance, forsaking all, selling, not laying up things of this world, not serving money, not serving sin, not conforming to this world,
being buried with Jesus in baptism, being crucified with Jesus, being planted together in the likeness of His death, being dead with Christ, losing one’s life for Him, being dead with Christ, dying to oneself, denying oneself.
They have little or no understanding of being converted, being born again, following Jesus, yielding unto God, putting on Christ, conforming to His image, living unto God, being servants to God, being servants to righteousness unto holiness, walking in the newness of life, walking as Jesus walked, obedience to God, obeying His commandments,
living by every word of God, being spiritually–minded, walking after the Word, walking after the Spirit, being led by the Spirit, Christ in you, bringing forth the fruits of the Spirit, and many like subjects.

They think to themselves they are saved, but their life and attitude has never been transformed from the old, self–centered man to the new Christ–centered man.

Many think to themselves they will go to heaven, while they remain servants to sin, not servants to righteousness unto holiness. They are not ashamed of their fruits of unrighteousness. Some profess Jesus with their mouth, they may go to a Christian church, but their heart and attitude show no repentance or transformation has taken place in their life.

It just does not enter their mind that they are destined for hell, the Great White Throne judgment and the second death, which is the eternal lake of fire.

Consider carefully and truthfully what has been said. Your eternal life may depend on it.

SOME CURSES
Gal 3:10–For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

Ja 3:9–Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.

Mal 3:8,9–Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.

Mal 2:1,2–And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you. If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.

Zech 5:2,3–And he said unto me, What seest thou? And I answered, I see a flying roll; the length thereof is twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof ten cubits. Then said he unto me, This is the curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off as on this side according to it; and every one that sweareth shall be cut off as on that side according to it.

Dan 9:11–Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law, even by departing, that they might not obey thy voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against him.

Lam 3:60–66–Thou hast seen all their vengeance and all their imaginations against me. Thou hast heard their reproach, O LORD, and all their imaginations against me; The lips of those that rose up against me, and their device against me all the day. Behold their sitting down, and their rising up; I am their musick. Render unto them a recompence, O LORD, according to the work of their hands. Give them sorrow of heart, thy curse unto them. Persecute and destroy them in anger from under the heavens of the LORD.

Jere 44:22,23–So that the LORD could no longer bear, because of the evil of your doings, and because of the abominations which ye have committed; therefore is your land a desolation, and an astonishment, and a curse, without an inhabitant, as at this day. Because ye have burned incense, and because ye have sinned against the LORD, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD, nor walked in his law, nor in his statutes, nor in his testimonies; therefore this evil is happened unto you, as at this day.

Jer 44:12,13–And I will take the remnant of Judah, that have set their faces to go into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, and they shall all be consumed, and fall in the land of Egypt; they shall even be consumed by the sword and by the famine: they shall die, from the least even unto the greatest, by the sword and by the famine: and they shall be an execration, and an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach. For I will punish them that dwell in the land of Egypt, as I have punished Jerusalem, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence.

Jere 44:8–In that ye provoke me unto wrath with the works of your hands, burning incense unto other gods in the land of Egypt, whither ye be gone to dwell, that ye might cut yourselves off, and that ye might be a curse and a reproach among all the nations of the earth?

Jere 29:22,23–And of them shall be taken up a curse by all the captivity of Judah which are in Babylon, saying, The LORD make thee like Zedekiah and like Ahab, whom the king of Babylon roasted in the fire; Because they have committed villany in Israel, and have committed adultery with their neighbours’ wives, and have spoken lying words in my name, which I have not commanded them; even I know, and am a witness, saith the LORD.

Jere 26:5,6–To hearken to the words of my servants the prophets, whom I sent unto you, both rising up early, and sending them, but ye have not hearkened; Then will I make this house like Shiloh, and will make this city a curse to all the nations of the earth.

Jere 15:10–Woe is me, my mother, that thou hast borne me a man of strife and a man of contention to the whole earth! I have neither lent on usury, nor men have lent to me on usury; yet every one of them doth curse me.

Isa 24:5,6–The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.

Isa 8:19–21–And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead? To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. And they shall pass through it, hardly bestead and hungry: and it shall come to pass, that when they shall be hungry, they shall fret themselves, and curse their king and their God, and look upward.

Pv 28:27–He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.

Pv 3:33–The curse of the LORD is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just.

Judges 5:23–Curse ye Meroz, said the angel of the LORD, curse ye bitterly the inhabitants thereof; because they came not to the help of the LORD, to the help of the LORD against the mighty.

Deut 11:26–28–Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse; A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day: And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.

Num 5:20,21–But if thou hast gone aside to another instead of thy husband, and if thou be defiled, and some man have lain with thee beside thine husband: Then the priest shall charge the woman with an oath of cursing, and the priest shall say unto the woman, The LORD make thee a curse and an oath among thy people, when the LORD doth make thy thigh to rot, and thy belly to swell.

Gen 12:2,3–And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

WHO WOUNDS AND WHO HEALS?
AND HOW WE ARE HEALED
Lk 13:16–And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?
    Satan causes sickness.

    Deut 32:39–
See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.
Our lives are in the hand of God. God raises the dead. God heals. God wounds.

    Hosea 6:1–
Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.
God tears. God heals. God smites. God can bind us up.

    Mt 8:7–
And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.
    Jesus heals.

    Isa 53:5–
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised (or crushed) for our iniquities (or sins): the chastisement (or disciplining) of our peace (or that makes us whole) was (or fell) upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Jesus was wounded for our transgressions. Jesus was bruised for our iniquities. “The disciplining that makes us whole fell on Him” (CJB). We are healed with His stripes.

    Mt 8:16,17–
When the even was come,…he…healed all that were sick: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.

1 Pe 2:24–Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
By the stripes of Jesus, we are healed.

    Acts 10:38–
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
Jesus healed. Satan oppresses and causes people to be sick.

    1 Jn 3:8–
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil.

    Mt 8:17–
That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.
Jesus took our infirmities. Jesus bare our sickness.

    Mt 13:15–
For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed. Such should not expect anything from the Lord. However, those that can see spiritually, and can hear and understand God’s Word, and are converted, of these, God’s Word indicates and I should heal them.
    Jesus heals.

    Ps 103:2–5–
Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
    The Lord heals.

    Ps 145:8–
The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.

Ps 146:8–The LORD openeth the eyes of the blind: the LORD raiseth them that are bowed down: the LORD loveth the righteous.
The Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord raises them that are bowed down. The Scripture ends with the words–THE RIGHTEOUS.

Why does there seem to be so much blindness on those that teach about healing? It is, indeed, a rare thing to hear someone that teaches on the subject of healing to mention four things. One is sin, two is repentance, three is obedience and four is the fear of God. There are more that could be mentioned.

IS IT GOD’S DESIRE THAT YOU ARE HEALED? NOT ALWAYS
(Sometimes yes, sometimes later, sometimes no)

God has given us many promises, but what few tell you is there are conditions you must meet
Example: you cannot be saved apart from repentance and faith in the Jesus Christ of the Bible
Example: you may be sick because you have sinned, you are stubborn, you are prideful, you are self–centered
If you fail to repent, you might get even worse

Was Paul healed of his thorn in the flesh? No. ref 2 Cor 12:7.
Was Paul’s eyesight healed? No. ref Gal 4:15.
Was Paul’s rude (unskilled) speech changed or healed? No. ref 2 Cor 11:6.
Are there God–fearing, born again, full of faith men and women that have physical impairments, yet they go forth without complaining, preaching the Gospel despite their handicaps? Yes.

The following Scripture are used by many preachers in this latter day generation to show it is God’s will for you to be healed. Does this mean it is God’s will that you will never be sick? Does this mean that it is God’s will that you will never die? Sometimes sickness precedes death.

For some preachers, it seems, their whole ministry is centered on this one subject. God forbid.
We need to ask the question: Does God use sickness to get a person’s attention to repent? The answer is clearly yes.
Does God use sickness to get a person’s attention to change direction or repent? The answer is clearly yes.
Does God allow certain people to be incapacitated in some ways, yet they go forth to preach the Gospel as an example for others? Yes.
Which kind of person is more often called of God to follow him and does so? Is it the healthy, rich man, or is it the poor man that is hurting and seemingly has no hope?

Who seeks after God the most?
Is it those that prosper in this world, or is it those that have nothing in this world?
Is it those that feel good about themselves, or is it those that are crying out in pain?
Is it those that have a bright future in this world, or is it those that have no hope?
Who might be looking toward God the most? Is it those that are sick and flat on their back looking up, or is it those that are standing and prospering?

Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?–Ja 2:5. But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence–1 Cor 1:27–29

Can Satan use sickness against a person, if they give a place to Satan? Yes. The Scriptures clearly associate lying, anger, wrath, stealing, lack of giving, corrupt communication, grieving the Holy Spirit, bitterness, clamour, evil speaking, malice, lack of kindness, lack of a tender heart, and a lack of forgiving with giving a place to the devil–ref Eph 4:25–32. When we sin, it gives a place to the devil to attack us. Those secret sins that we believe we have gotten away with, those sins which we have hidden well and no one knows about, open a wide door for Satan to attack us. Yes, and those secret sins can do even more. We may be confident we will go to heaven, even though we have sinned secretly and gotten away with it. But then the end comes, and we find our unrepentant, secret sin has opened the door for hell to receive us. Hell has many, many preachers, priests, rabbi, Pharisees, lawyers, Sadducees, and religious folk of all sorts.

True repentance and trust in Christ, not to be repented of, opens the door of heaven, but secret sins open the door of hell.

    It is written:
    3 Jn 2–
Beloved, I wish. Who is speaking here? It is John. John wishes
    above all things
    that thou
    (1) mayest prosper and
    (2) be in health,
    even as thy soul prospereth.
This beginning of John’s letter is a greeting. John is saying the same as we might say if we sent someone a letter or email–“I hope this finds you are healthy and doing ok.” Yet many misled preachers turn this around and tell people that it means God’s will is that they may prosper and become rich and never get sick. Indeed, the understanding of God’s Word by many preachers in this latter day generation is nothing more than wretched, miserable, poor, blind and naked–ref Rev 3.

The words that follow the statement “be in health” are, “EVEN AS THY SOUL PROSPERETH.” It relates prospering and health with “thy soul prospering.” If a person does not dwell in and obey God’s Word, how can their soul prosper? An excuse–maker, an accuser, a biblically disobedient person, how can their soul prosper?

    3 Jn 3–
For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee. Note the person that John gave the words to, regarding prospering and being in health. It was to a person that was walking in God’s Word, not a person that was practicing sin or was in rebellion to God. Note the words: EVEN AS THOU WALKEST IN THE TRUTH. This is backed up by verse 4.
3 Jn 4–I HAVE NO GREATER JOY THAN TO HEAR THAT MY CHILDREN WALK IN TRUTH.
In verse 5, there is more evidence of the person's walk with the Lord to whom John desired that they prosper and be in health.
3 Jn 5–BELOVED, THOU DOEST FAITHFULLY. This person that was walking in truth was also a faithful person. The verse continues: Thou does faithfully WHATSOEVER THOUI DOEST TO THE BRETHREN, AND TO STRANGERS. This person to whom John is writing is a person that has the truth in him, is walking in the truth, is faithful, both to the brethren and to strangers. In addition, the brethren and stranger.
3 Jn 6–HAVE BORNE WITNESS OF THY CHARITY (or love) BEFORE THE CHURCH. Do you love God and the brethren? Are you a faithful and obedient Christian in deed and in truth, or are you only an obedient Christian in your deceived heart and mind?

    Yes, people get sick.
Sometimes it is because of sin. This is one way God tries to get a person’s attention in order to repent. Why, then, do the prosperity and health preachers leave off that a person is to be born again, is to labor in God’s Word, and is to repent and be baptized by full immersion, after repenting and believing on the Jesus of the Bible? He is to obey the Gospel, walk in God’s commandments, conform to the image of Christ, love the brethren and love God with all his heart, etc. A Christian is to serve God in accordance with the Bible. They are suppose to tithe, which is taught in both the old and new testaments.

The fact is–there are many times a person gets sick or something happens to them, and they just do not recognize why. Life is a test

SOMETIMES A PERSON IS NOT HEALED, BECAUSE THEY DO STUPID THINGS
Sometimes a person does not get well, because they do things that are stupid.
    Here are some examples:

A person has bad knees. Perhaps he is old or has suffered knee injuries doing sports. Despite this, they continue running on hard, cement surfaces and take no precautions, such as knee pads, thick–soled running shoes, or other protective gear. Neither do they try to do their running on treadmills, which are not so abrasive to the knees. Neither do they give their knees a chance to heal.

A person should repent of smoking, when coming to Jesus. Scriptures are clear on this subject. Now a smoker begins to develop lung cancer, but they refuse to repent and quit smoking; so they get worse and die.

A person has a heart condition. They are very overweight. Any doctor can tell them—the more one weighs, the harder the heart has to work. But because they love certain foods, they will not repent and lose weight. Perhaps, they just want to remain heavy, because Satan is telling them something unscriptural and their deceived heart agrees with it. (Satan may have a stronghold in their life, regarding food.) So they continue being overweight and continue to suffer. Then, they die. An obese Christian can make a poor witness, when it comes to telling others to repent of loving this world and the things that are in this world.

The list can go on and on. Where are you going, or what are you doing or eating, etc., that is causing you to be sick, which you will not repent of?

SOMETIMES A PERSON IS NOT HEALED AS THEY THOUGHT THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN.
Some, very notable, God–fearing, Bible teachers, who are full of faith, have gone through lengthy and difficult times, resulting from accidents or sickness. Some have nearly died. Some did die.
Some have had hands laid on them, according to the Scriptures. They prayed. Many prayed for them. They fasted. They cried out to God. They repented. They did everything that could be done Biblically to be healed, yet nothing happened. Finally, over a long period of time, they slowly recovered, but some did not. Life is a test to see how we will react under many situations. Will we trust in God and love God with unwavering faith, no matter what comes upon us?

Consider Jesus, Whom we are to follow.
Over and over, Satan had tempted Jesus in all points like we are; yet, Jesus never sinned–ref Heb 4:15.
Having tempted him, over and over, with no success, Satan then resorts to the only alternative left—Jesus must be eliminated.
Satan (also called Lucifer) wants to exalt his throne above the stars of God. He wants be like the most High–ref Isa 14:12–14.
Thus, Jesus was crucified. He died in the most barbaric way possible in those days, a slow, cruel, agonizing, and painful death, gasping for breath.
He was tortured and mocked. His beard was torn off his face. The fact that he could still talk was a miracle, as he hung upon the cross dying for men’s sins. Isa 52:14–His visage (or appearance) was so marred (or disfigured) more (or beyond that of )…any man, and his form (marred beyond human likeness).
Many (so–called) Christian churches, preachers, missionaries, radio and television evangelists preach health, wealth, and prosperity, yet the Bible clearly states: we (meaning true, born again Christians) are called to be nothing more than sheep for the slaughter.
It is written Ps 44:22, Ro 8:36–Yea, for thy sake are we killed all the day long; we are counted as sheep for the slaughter. True Christianity is living a life of repentance, trusting in Jesus and Jesus alone, denying oneself, forsaking everything, and picking up your cross and following Jesus. This, friend, is the Gospel.

(The Sad State of Today’s Churches)
Before Healing Takes Place, Repentance Should Happen
It is a Gospel that is seldom preached anymore, as was prophesied by God himself in many Scriptures. Today’s lukewarm church is nothing more than people that deny God’s Word, by believing in evolution and whatsoever is in their deceived heart. The idea of trusting in Jesus, rather than themselves is not on their menu. Neither is on their menu, the idea of forsaking everything in a world that has more to offer than any time in history.
Most are not cold or hot, but lukewarm–ref Rev chapter 3. Such shall not inherit eternal life. They will be spit out.
Much of today’s church says they are rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art WRETCHED, and MISERABLE, and POOR, and BLIND, and NAKED: (Naked means they are not clothed with the garments of righteousness.) Note the words of God about today’s church—INCREASED WITH GOODS. Never in history has a church had so much to help a person be comfortable and entertained. Convicting preaching about studying God’s Word, sin, repentance, obeying God, fearing God, fasting, tithing, hell, the judgments, Bible prophecy and the Revelation is sadly missing from nearly all churches today.
It is written: 1 Pe 2:2,3–
As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious. A person that does not desire to be in God’s Word is a person that is not a born again Christian. Just as there are many that own bibles that are merely collecting dust, so there are many that are headed toward the lake of fire.

God’s message to today’s lukewarm, “blind” church is this:
I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire,
    that thou mayest be rich;
and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed,
    and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear;
and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve,
    that thou mayest see.
    As many as I love,
    I REBUKE AND CHASTEN:
    BE ZEALOUS therefore,
    and REPENT.

The so called Christian church of today is clearly revealed in this. Jesus is shown standing OUTSIDE of the door of today’s church, knocking on the door. He is not inside. The hearts of the people inside of today’s so called Christian churches are far from Jesus. They have little understanding of the Gospel of repentance, sacrifice, persecutions, and self denial. Today's so called Christians accuse each other, speak evil of each other and they do not fear God. They love only in word, but not in deed and in truth.
Neither do most so called Christians tithe, as both the Old and New testament states. They rob God and yet believe they will go to heaven–ref Mal 3:8. Jesus himself taught you are to tithe.
Most do not fast, yet fasting is taught in both the Old and New Testaments.     When is the last time you did a one day, or a 3 day, or a 7 day, or a 40 day fast?
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches–Rev 3:14–22.

Regarding the subject of fasting for born again Christians, note the following verses in the New Testament. This is not a complete list. After Biblical repentance, have you ever considered fasting to intreat God to heal you?

(Fasting and Prayer)
Mk 2:20 (ref Mt 9:15)–But the days will come, when the bridegroom (which is Jesus) shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days. Note, followers of Jesus shall fast. Do you?
Mt 6:16–Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
Mt 6:18–(When a person fasts), That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly. In other words–don’t fast to be seen of men.
Lk 5:33–35–And they said unto him, Why do the disciples of John fast often, and make prayers, and likewise the disciples of the Pharisees; but thine eat and drink? And he said unto them, Can ye make the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days. It is clear that Jesus fasted. It is clear that the disciples of John fasted. It is clear that those that walked with Jesus fasted after He ascended up to heaven. It is clear that Christians in the past, and Christians today should fast. Do you? Does your church teach this?
Jesus spoke about fasting. It is in Matthew’s Gospel, Mark’s Gospel, and Luke’s Gospel. ARE YOU LISTENING? God’s children, according to the Bible will fast and do fast. Do you? For more detailed information about “Fasting” consult the 17000 MASTER SITE MENU.

So what does all this have to do with being sick and getting healed?
To be under the authority of the Scriptures, to trust in God’s promises, one must be a true born again Christian.
Throughout history, only a few have been saved, but in this lukewarm, blind age, in this latter day generation, there are few, very few–ref Mt 7:14, 9:37, 20:16, 22:14; Lk 10:2, Lk 13:23, Rev 3:14–22.
The truth of the matter is that many that are sick and wanting to be healed are not real Christians at all.
They have never come to the knowledge of the truth of what following Jesus is all about–ref 2 Tim 3:7, or they have turned from following Jesus and returned to being in the mud even as a washed pig returns to the mire.
They have never Biblically repented–ref Lk 13:3
Many have never even obeyed God and been baptized by full immersion AFTER believing in Jesus Christ and repenting–Mt 28:19,20; Acts 2:38; Col 2:12; Ro 6:3–10.
They have no knowledge of what it means to be conformed to the image of Christ–ref Ro 8:29.
They refuse to understand that the evidence of their love for God is that they obey and keep His Word, His commandments–ref Jn 14:15.
They do not understand that they are to put on Christ–ref Gal 3:27. They are to put off the old man and put on the new man–ref Eph 4:22–24.
They neither love the brethren or even understand who the real brethren are, nor do they tithe, or fast, or deny themselves.
Hell has many (people and preachers) that thought they could get to heaven their own way, or the way of compromise.
Hell has many that didn’t believe Jesus is the only way.
Hell has many that thought there was no hell, but now they are there.
Hell has many of those that thought they could live for this world now and yet be welcomed into heaven when they died.
Hell is loaded with those that thought that being a member of a certain religion or denomination could get them to heaven.
Hell has many that thought by just being a good person they will go to heaven, even though the Bible teaches there is none good, only God. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
Are you one of them? It is not too late for you…not yet.
Does your church preach on the Revelation, on hell, on the judgments, on repentance, sin, denying oneself, on your love for God and the brethren, on tithing, obedience to the Gospel, water baptism by full immersion only after repentance and believing on the Jesus of the Bible, and fasting? Most churches these days preach little of God’s Word but many entertaining stories.     God’s Word commands the church to teach the Revelation. Did you know this? Does your preacher even know this?

Today’s Christian churches are sick. Most so–called radio and TV evangelists and preachers are filled with unscriptural messages, and the lukewarm Christians of today love to have it so. They indeed gather around themselves preachers to say what their deceived hearts and itching ears desire to hear. Then they die and find themselves in hell, perhaps screaming that no one ever told them what this message is telling them now. Yet, they have no excuse, for indeed the Bible does tell them these things, but they chose to ignore it.

    They are willingly ignorant–ref 2 Pe 3:5.
Isa 56:9–11–All ye beasts of the field, come to devour, yea, all ye beasts in the forest. (Satan devours today’s so–called Christians, because they are ignorant of God’s Word). His watchmen (or we may say preachers) are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber. Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.
Ro 10:3–For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God (or have not submitted to God’s Word).
2 Cor 2:11–It is written, Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. Regretfully, most in this church age are ignorant of Satan’s devices–very ignorant; and Satan does and has deceived most.
Is this message going to change most that hear it? No. But perhaps, a few might yet repent, before it is too late.

WHO HAS THE POWER TO HEAL IN JESUS’ NAME?
Mt 10:1–And when he had called unto him his twelve
    disciples, he gave them power

against unclean spirits, to cast them out,
and to heal all manner of sickness
    and all manner of disease.

    Mt 10:5,8–The twelve
    Heal the sick,
    cleanse the lepers,
    raise the dead,
    cast out devils:
    freely ye have received,
    freely give.
In other words, don't demand that people give you money in exchange for
possibly being healed, as some seem to do these days.

Lk 4:18,19–The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
    because
    he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor;
he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted,
to preach deliverance to the captives,
and recovering of sight to the blind,
to set at liberty them that are bruised,
To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

In Jn 14:13,14–Jesus was addressing Philip, the rest of the apostles, as well     as those that have His commandments and keep them. Jesus said in v.13–
And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name,
    that will I do,
that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

Lk 9:2–And he sent them (the 12 disciples) to
    preach the kingdom of God,
    and to heal the sick.

(Gifts of healing)
1 Cor 12:4–9–Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.
But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
    For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom;
    to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
    To another faith by the same Spirit;
to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit.
1 Cor 12:28 mentions the gifts of healing.
1 Cor 12:30 also mentions the gifts of healing.

Conclusion: Jesus did heal all kinds of sickness.
The apostles did heal all kinds of sickness.
Old testament prophets healed the sick and raised the dead.
God healed in the Old Testament.
God healed in the New Testament.
The sick were healed with His Word, even though they are long distances away.
There are saints that God has given the gift of healing to, both in the past and present day.
Let us not forget—even Jesus could there do no mighty work (in his hometown), save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them…because of their unbelief–ref Mk 6:5,6. Indeed, this lukewarm church age is an age of unbelief. And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed–Heb 12:13.
God does, in the past and the present, heal repentant Christians. This is a fact.
Sometimes sickness comes upon a person, because they are being chastened; and when the person comes to repentance, it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby–ref Heb 12:11–16.
However sin, not following peace with all men, a lack of holiness, bitterness, a fornicator, a profane person, and a lack of repentance can open the door for Satan to attack a person.     God did in the past and does today heal those that obey Ja 5:16.
    It is written of Jesus:
1 Pe 2:24–Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
God did and does heal today. However, many that seek healing will not come to Jesus in brokenness, humbleness, and repentance. They will not study and obey the Gospel. Rather they may listen to many deceivers that preach a distorted Gospel in these latter days. They may send for many books and brochures about the Bible, but the Bible itself sits on a shelf collecting dust.
When Jesus returns, shall he find faith? Sadly, few these days have faith, as they are so busy with the affairs of this life that Jesus takes second place. Thus, prayer requests abound, but is the person making the prayer request repentant??? Is Jesus and the Bible the center of their life? Sad to say, in most cases, the answer is NO. To follow Jesus, deny oneself, and pick up your cross DAILY, and follow Jesus–is not understood in this deceived generation. Few do this, and few are healed. As it was in Nazareth, so it is today–much unbelief.
If a person compares about 99% of the preaching on radio, on television, and in the pulpits, with the way Jesus and the apostles preached, it is VASTLY different. Who do you follow–preachers that say what your itching, deceived ears want to hear, or the Bible alone? READ, STUDY AND MEMORIZE GOD’S WORD and not a little. Be doers of God's Word and not hearers only. In this deceived, lukewarm generation, many gather around themselves evangelists and preachers that teach and say things so far removed from the Gospel, it is another Gospel. Yet, God's Word tells the time would come, in the latter days (today), when this is the way it would be.

Many faithful people of God have lost loved ones, their children, their wives, their husbands. Let us remember: This is not our home. For those that follow Jesus, our home is to be with HIM.

THERE ARE DIFFERENT REASONS THAT SOME OF GOD’S PEOPLE CAN AND DO GET SICK
In some cases, no reason was given
Some got sick because of sin, others to teach them something
Did all get healed? Some yes, some no
Did some admit the reason they got sick was sin? Some yes, some no
Did some repent? Some yes, but others no
Did those that got sick because of sin have good discernment of God's Word? Seems most did not

Most people do not have a personal relationship with God. Yet of those, there are some that never seem to get sick. They never seem to miss a day of work.

Of those that do have a personal relationship with Jesus, there are also some that never seem to get sick. They never seem to miss a day of work. Of those that never seem to get sick, some are preachers that make claims (because they never seem to get sick) that God never wants any Christian to get sick.

    What does God’s Word say?

Gen 48:1–And it came to pass after these things, that one told Joseph, Behold, thy father is sick.

2 Sam 12:15–18–And Nathan departed unto his house. And the LORD struck the child that Uriah’s wife bare unto David, and it was very sick.

2 Ki 13:14–Now Elisha was fallen sick of his sickness whereof he died.

2 Ki 20:1–6–In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death.

Mt 25:35–40–For I was ahungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36–Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

Mk 1:30–But Simon’s wife’s mother lay sick of a fever, and anon they tell him of her.

Dan 8:27–And I Daniel fainted, and was sick (certain days); afterward I rose up, and did the king's business; and I was astonished at the vision, but none understood it.

Phili 2:25–Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother,…26–…For indeed he was sick nigh unto death: but God had mercy on him; and…on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow. 29–…Because for the work of Christ he was nigh unto death, not regarding his life, to supply your lack of service toward me.

2 Tim 4:20–Trophimus have I left at Miletum sick.

SINS
Next categories reflect some sins which are:
(A lack of repentance, regarding sin, can hinder a person from being healed by God)
(Some reasons you could perish or cannot be healed)
When have you heard your preacher teach the following?     Mt 5:29,30–And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
Mt 18:9, ref Mk 9:47–And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.
Are you involved in porn or some sin involving your eyes?
Are you married, but involved in lusting after other women?
Are you a married woman that has another man in your thoughts that is not your husband?
Are you involved in doing something ungodly with your hands?
Are you having problems coming to repentance in some area of your life?
Are you involved with not obeying God in some area of your life?
Are you an excuse–maker when it comes to being faithful in Bible reading and study?
Are you an excuse–maker when it comes to serving God?
Are you an excuse–maker when it comes to obeying the Bible in some area of your life?
What comes before God in your life? Is it everything?
Is it a boyfriend or girlfriend that comes before God and what He is calling you to do?
It is some hand–held device that captures your time, rather than dwelling in God’s Word?
Is keeping connected with other people more important than keeping connected with God?
Is what other people think of you more important than what God thinks of you?
Is wanting to be liked or wanting to be special more important to you than Christ?
Do you really love Christ and His Word above everything—both in word and in deed?
Do you fellowship with unbelievers, because you are lonely, when you know there is no one that will find out?
Do you often have a negative attitude coupled with excuses and even try to discourage others by telling them they shouldn’t or they can’t?
Are you a person that speaks out, before being silent and listening to God’s still, small voice?
Are you a talking machine that needs to vent yourself, when you should put a lock on your mouth? In other words, do your inner emotions force you to dominate conversations? And when you talk, is it about the Gospel or something else?
Do you listen to Godly correction and agree with it, but the next day the correction has had no effect on you?
Do any of these fit you, yet you wonder why God won’t heal you?
What do you think about the most? Is it Jesus, or something else?

HAVE YOU EVER CONSIDERED, if you will not pluck out your eye that offends you (or repent of that which leads you astray), after a time, God may do it for you (through chastening)? If God does it, it can be far more painful than if you would simply repent. And if God does it, how can you be healed?
Have you ever considered, if your right hand offends you and you will not "cut it off" (or repent), God may do it for you; and it may be very, very painful, and you may not be able to be healed?
Have you considered, if you can’t turn off the multitude of words that come forth from your mouth, God may do it for you, and it could be very painful?
Do you not believe that God commands you to forsake EVERYTHING, and if you refuse–you are in danger? Even if you have obeyed God’s commandments from your youth, if you will not forsake loving this world and the abundance of things in this world–you are doomed to perish, even as the rich young man that had kept God’s commandments from his youth.
The Gospel that is preached by most in this latter day generation is a gospel of compromise. Jesus did not compromise at the cross for you, and you are not to compromise when it comes to following Him.

SINS
(More reasons you could perish or cannot be healed)
Why are so many people not healed?

The following are some of God's promises, regarding being healed and having good health.
It is written in Pv 3:8–IT SHALL BE HEALTH TO THY NAVEL, AND MARROW TO THY BONES.
One might ask, What shall be health? The answer is:
Pv 3:5–7 (a)–TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL THINE HEART; AND
(b)–LEAN NOT UNTO THINE OWN UNDERSTANDING.
(c)–IN ALL THY WAYS ACKNOWLEDGE HIM, AND HE SHALL DIRECT THY PATHS.
(d)–BE NOT WISE IN THINE OWN EYES: (or, we might say, crucify pride)
    (e)–FEAR THE LORD, AND
(f)–DEPART FROM EVIL (or, we may say, repent)
INCLINE THINE EAR UNTO MY SAYINGS (or, we may say, in this generation—hear, read and obey God’s Word).

Pv 4:22–It is written: FOR THEY ARE LIFE UNTO THOSE THAT FIND THEM, AND HEALTH TO ALL THEIR FLESH. One might ask, what shall be life and health to all their flesh?
    Pv 4:20, 21–(g)–MY SON, ATTEND TO MY WORDS;
(h)–INCLINE THINE EAR UNTO MY SAYINGS.
    (i)–LET THEM NOT DEPART FROM THINE EYES;
(j)–KEEP THEM IN THE MIDST OF THINE HEART.

The Bible also indicates what we say can affect our health. If we speak contrary to God’s Word, it can be harmful to our health.
Pv 12:18–THERE IS THAT SPEAKETH LIKE THE PIERCINGS OF A SWORD. In other words, those that do not control their speech, it is not good for their health, for the verse continues:     (k)–BUT THE TONGUE OF THE WISE IS HEALTH. One might ask, “What is wise conversation?” The answer is this:
Col 4:6–LET YOUR SPEECH BE ALWAY WITH GRACE, SEASONED WITH SALT, THAT YE MAY KNOW HOW YE OUGHT TO ANSWER EVERY MAN. 2 Sam 7:28–…THY WORDS BE TRUE. In other words, do not speak things from emotions that are contrary to God's Word. Ecc 5:2–BE NOT RASH WITH THY MOUTH, AND LET NOT THINE HEART BE HASTY TO UTTER ANY THING BEFORE GOD: …THEREFORE LET THY WORDS BE FEW. Pv 29:20–SEEST THOU A MAN THAT IS HASTY IN HIS WORDS? THERE IS MORE HOPE OF A FOOL THAN OF HIM.

Do you want to be healthy? Do you need the Lord to heal you? Ten things have been listed thus far. Here are more.
(l)–Pv 13:17–A WICKED MESSENGER FALLETH INTO MISCHIEF:     (m)–BUT A FAITHFUL AMBASSADOR IS HEALTH. Put away wickedness. Be faithful in all you do. Let all you do be in line with God's Word. This is health also.

Isa 58:8–THEN SHALL THY LIGHT BREAK FORTH AS THE MORNING, AND THINE HEALTH SHALL SPRING FORTH SPEEDILY: AND THY RIGHTEOUSNESS SHALL GO BEFORE THEE; THE GLORY OF THE LORD SHALL BE THY REARWARD (or protection). We might ask, "What shall cause our health to spring forth speedily in addition to what we have already covered?
Isa 58:6,7–(n)–IS NOT THIS THE FAST THAT I HAVE CHOSEN? In other words, consider fasting, but fasting needs to be combined with the following:
(o)–TO LOOSE THE BANDS OF WICKEDNESS,
    (p)–TO UNDO THE HEAVY BURDENS,
(q)–AND TO LET THE OPPRESSED GO FREE,
(r)–AND THAT YE BREAK EVERY YOKE?
(s)–IS IT NOT TO DEAL THY BREAD TO THE HUNGRY,
(t)–AND THAT THOU BRING THE POOR THAT ARE CAST OUT TO THY HOUSE?
    (u)–WHEN THOU SEEST THE NAKED, THAT THOU COVER HIM;
(v)–AND THAT THOU HIDE NOT THYSELF FROM THINE OWN FLESH?

    Why are some people sick?
Jere 30:15–17 tells us: WHY CRIEST THOU FOR THINE AFFLICTION? THY SORROW IS INCURABLE FOR THE MULTITUDE OF THINE INIQUITY:
BECAUSE THY SINS WERE INCREASED, I HAVE DONE THESE THINGS UNTO THEE.
THEREFORE ALL THEY THAT DEVOUR THEE SHALL BE DEVOURED; AND ALL THINE ADVERSARIES, EVERY ONE OF THEM, SHALL GO INTO CAPTIVITY; AND THEY THAT SPOIL THEE SHALL BE A SPOIL, AND ALL THAT PREY UPON THEE WILL I GIVE FOR A PREY. FOR I WILL RESTORE HEALTH UNTO THEE, AND I WILL HEAL THEE OF THY WOUNDS, SAITH THE LORD; BECAUSE THEY CALLED THEE AN OUTCAST, SAYING, THIS IS ZION, WHOM NO MAN SEEKETH AFTER.
To summarize in part what has just been said:
A person may be sick and sorrowful because of their sins, and not only because of their sins, but because their sins have increased.
(w)–Do you want health? REPENT. Put away willful sin and obey God’s Word.
(x)–Also do not, in any way, be against Israel. Do not speak against Israel. For it is also written: Num 24:9–BLESSED IS HE THAT BLESSETH THEE, AND CURSED IS HE THAT CURSETH THEE.

Finally, do you need to be healed? It is written: Rev 22:7–BEHOLD, I COME QUICKLY: BLESSED IS HE THAT KEEPETH THE SAYINGS OF THE PROPHECY OF THIS BOOK. Keep the sayings of the Revelation.

Have you ever considered that the eternal lake of fire will be a trillion times worse than you can even imagine and a trillion times longer, for there will never, ever be any rest for those that go there–ref Rev 14:11? Have you considered that 100% of the people that are in hell right now, would do anything, I mean anything, to get just one more chance to repent and follow Jesus? You have that chance right now. Surrender your whole life to Jesus now. Satan does not have the power to stop you, if you will just believe and trust in God's Word and obey it.
Your whole life may have been a failure. You may have followed Jesus before, but failed. But if there is still breath in your body, then it may not be too late. Satan is not going to give you the whole world, but Jesus can and will give you far more than you could even imagine, if you will just surrender everything to him.

SINS
(God’s Word warns you about certain sins in these verses. Note what they are)
(These could also hinder a person from being healed)
(A lack of repentance, regarding sin, can hinder a person from being healed by God)
(Obey His commands)
Mt 18:10–take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for i say unto you, that in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my father which is in heaven.
Do not despise any preacher of the Lord. Do not make false accusations against the children of God. Beware that you do not despise and speak evil.

Mk 9:47–50–Have you lost your salt for the Lord? Have you shrunk back from being in God's Word faithfully every day and obeying it?
for every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt. salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.

Acts 23:5–Thou shalt not speak evil of the ruler of thy people.
Titus 3:2,3–To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men. For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.

2 Pe 2:9–14–The Lord knoweth how…to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:
10–But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust OF UNCLEANNESS,
    and despise government.
    Presumptuous are they,
    selfwilled,
they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities
(or those in authority).
11–Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord.
    12–But these,…speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;
    14–Having eyes full of adultery,
    and that cannot cease from sin;
an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children.

Jude 8–12–Likewise also these filthy dreamers
    defile the flesh,
    despise dominion,
(or those in authority, or in heavenly places)
AND SPEAK EVIL OF DIGNITIES (or those in authority).
9–Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.
10–But these speak evil of those things which they know not:…
12–These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots.
Do you eat and drink and feast with the unbelievers and partake of their ungodly conversation?
Do you fellowship with those that do not fear God?
And if you do, you need to repent and ask God for His mercy. You need to change and follow Jesus.
Do you do these things and wonder why you are not being healed?
Do you believe someone is a true Christian just because they say they are? By their fruits ye shall know them–ref Mt 7:20.
Ref 1 Cor 11:13–15–But remember, even the devil's followers masquerade as (or look like) angels of light, just as the Pharisees, Sadducees, Herodians, lawyers, and even the chief priests did. Many on TV, radio, and in the pulpit–priests, rabbi, preachers, evangelists and missionaries are not followers of Jesus. They follow another Jesus.
Only a few, in these latter days, preach as Jesus and the apostles did; whereas many did only a hundred years ago.
Why does this message on healing speak so much of sin and repentance?     The answer to that is obvious to those that have eyes to see. The devil is allowed to attack God’s people–especially when they open the door to him through sin and disobedience to God in some way. Being a “no time for Bible study” or a “do nothing so–called” Christian also gives a place to the devil. Wherefore it is written: Eph 4:27–NEITHER GIVE PLACE TO THE DEVIL.

God–fearing, born again Christians do get sick, and no healing takes place right away
2 Tim 4:19–21–Salute Prisca and Aquila, and the household of Onesiphorus. Erastus abode at Corinth: BUT TROPHIMUS HAVE I LEFT AT MILETUM SICK.

There will be times when some will get sick, or injured, and no healing takes place. No matter how much you fast, and pray, and repent, and study and obey God’s Word, no healing takes place. Can such sickness sometimes hinder doing God’s work? Yes.

Many God–fearing, born again Christians have been there. The author of this article has been there. No hope, year after year after year. It was something that came as a result of doing missionary work. Suffering day after day, with only some occasional relief, but no hope, I mean no hope. Years had drained all hope of any healing. Taking medicine that was somewhat harmful to the body, many times a day, became a part of a daily routine.

But when all hope was gone, in an instant, totally unexpected, after many years–a miraculous healing took place. It actually came during a fast; and it happened instantly. Glory to God!

There are times when no healing takes place. There are anointed men and women of God that can’t talk very well. They can’t walk very well or may not be able to walk at all. Some can’t dress themselves and are crippled badly and have to have someone wait on them much of the time. Yet they praise, worship and thank God. They minister His Word to many others under what are very difficult circumstances for themselves.

Are you a person that would not give up some television program to go and witness to a lost soul on a church witnessing team? Many there be that claim they have repented, but did they repent of self–centeredness? They draw a line when it comes to serving Jesus?

Worthy is the Lamb to be praised. Don’t delay in submitting to Jesus. Tomorrow you may be in hell, if you delay.

Don’t be concerned with what people think. Only be concerned with what Jesus thinks. You cannot be self–centered and Christ–centered. In a generation when hand–held devices and keeping connected to others is the center of a person’s life, there is little room for Jesus.

A person that follows Jesus is nothing more than a sheep worthy to be slaughtered; but afterward, there is eternal joy. Have you not read what is written in 1 Jn 2:15–17?
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Don’t be deceived by the abundance of unbiblical teaching that is filling the airwaves, and pulpits, and Bible colleges in this generation that does not even know they are lukewarm–a wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked church age–ref Rev 3:17.

CAN JESUS HEAL WHEN THERE IS LITTLE OR NO FAITH
IN THE PERSON THAT WANTS TO BE HEALED?
(The Lukewarm, Wretched Church)
Mk 6:5–Regarding Jesus, it is written: And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them. Why were many not healed? It was because few people in His hometown had faith in Jesus…v.6–…Because of their unbelief.

Acts 14:7–11–Regarding Paul, it is written: And there they preached the gospel. And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother’s womb, who never had walked: The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed, Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked. And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men.

The message is clear from both Jesus and Paul. The Bible tells us in Heb 11:6–But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

The Laodicean Bible age we are currently living in is not a time of faith. It is a time compromise and lukewarmness. The lukewarm shall not inherit eternal life. For thus, it is written; and thus, it is.

To our knowledge, numerous prayer requests for healing are coming into many ministries. Numerous phone calls and emails for healing are coming into internet, radio and TV programs; yet, only a very few are being healed.

Mt 8:13–17–And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.

Lk 8:48–And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.

Lk 8:49,50–While he yet spake, there cometh one from the ruler of the synagogue’s house, saying to him, Thy daughter is dead; trouble not the Master. But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole.

(Another Gospel)
???????Which Gospel do you follow???????
Is it…
The “feel good” gospel. The gospel of self–esteem. The gospel of prosperity. The gospel of no obligation.
The gospel that says everyone should be healed. The gospel of no repentance and no obedience.
The gospel that says God is your servant, and you are not His servant. The gospel of fun and games.
The gospel of no baptism by immersion. The gospel of no commitment, sacrifice, or persecution.
The gospel that says you are going to heaven, when you are not?

It is written, 2 Cor 11:3–4–But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled (or deceived) Eve through his subtilty (or cunning), so your minds should be corrupted (or led astray) from the simplicity that is in Christ (or from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ–NIV).
For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another (or different) gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him (or you put up with it easily enough–NIV).

    Gal 1:6–10–
I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

    Gal 1:6–10 (niv)
6  I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel––
7  which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ.
8  But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned!
9  As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned!
10  Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.

People are partaking of preaching these days that is so unbiblical, it is indeed another gospel.

It is a time of a "feel good about yourself" gospel, a gospel of self–esteem, a gospel of prosperity, a gospel that says you should always be healthy; and if you do get sick, you should be healed quickly.

It is a gospel that demands nothing of people, but gives people the desires of their heart. It is a gospel that says you need to do nothing more than say a sinner's prayer, and you are eternally saved; and the people love to have it this way–ref Jere 5:31.

It is a gospel that conveniently and intentionally omits certain things lest people become offended.

It is a gospel that omits repentance, obedience, denying oneself, God's judgment, fearing God, loving God and the brethren, becoming a servant of God, and esteeming God's Word of more importance than your necessary food–ref Job 23:12.

People love to hear a gospel that tells them God loves them and is their servant, and they have no obligation to God in any way.

So it is with this “increased with goods” generation, which spiritually knows not that they are really wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked. These shall be spit out and ultimately go to the lake of fire. This is a church age that has no understanding that 100% of those that are lukewarm shall perish for ever and ever. This is the church age that will steadily get worse and worse as the birth pangs of a woman. This is the church age that should soon find themselves going into the tribulation, as they cry out to God, “Lord, Lord open to us”–ref Mt 25:10,11.

The time has finally come that was spoken about in God’s Word. A horrible thing is committed in the land. It is a time when people are foolish, without understanding; which have eyes, but see not; which have ears, but hear not. It is a time when people’s hearts are rebellious, and they do not say, “Let us fear God.” It is a time when people's sins are increasing as birth pangs of a woman. It is a time when multitudes of false preachers that look like they are of God are filling churches and the air waves with their unbiblical teachings. Their churches are full of deceit. They have become great and are waxen rich. They are wicked men that lay wait and set snares and traps and catch unsuspecting people. They shine like stars and look the other way with regards to the deeds of the wicked. They judge not the cause nor the right of the needy, yet they prosper. They do not reprove, rebuke, and exhort with all long suffering and sound doctrine. They do not preach the Word as they ought, but pick and choose passages, taking them out of context, to deceive the people.

It is a time when the teachers teach falsely, catering to the peoples lusts and desires. It is now the time when people will not tolerate sound doctrine. It is a time when people have “itching ears” and gather to themselves Bible teachers that teach according to their deceitful heart’s desire. It is a time when people no longer want the truth of the Gospel, so they turn away from God’s truth and turn to fables (or short stories, or idle talk to teach a lesson that is not founded on fact) (a tale, fiction, myth). It is a time when people love to have teachers teaching this way; that is, teaching a gospel that makes them feel good, that does not teach of sin, God’s wrath, His judgments, and that the rapture, tribulation and Armageddon are nigh at hand–ref Jere 5:21–31; 2 Tim 4:2–4, and others.

This is a generation of people that want to stay connected with each other, but has no understanding of or desire to stay connected with Jesus Christ.

It is a generation where the name of God and Jesus Christ are used as a curse word, the Bible is outlawed in some places, and Christian prayer is being ridiculed, trampled underfoot and spoken against; and there is little or no outcry coming forth. It is a generation where the people are so biblically illiterate, they never consider why people only curse the name of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and the name of Jesus Christ, but never curse any other gods.

As birth pangs of a woman, this generation is gradually going from unacceptable lukewarm faith to no faith at all. As it is written, Lk 18:8–WHEN THE SON OF MAN COMETH, SHALL HE FIND FAITH ON THE EARTH?

Make no mistake about it. This generation shall see the coming of the antichrist and the horrible tribulation period. This is the generation in which many will die, and those left will be required to take the mark of the antichrist or the number of his name. This is the generation that will be required to worship the image of the beast. This is the generation that will experience the war of all wars–the Battle of Armageddon, which is the time when Jesus Christ will actually return to this earth in power and great glory. This generation that despises the Bible and hates the God of the Bible will cease to exist when Jesus Christ returns and judges the nations. This you can be certain of–it will come to pass exactly as predicted. nearly all of earth's population shall die, either during the tribulation or at the time of Armageddon. Thus, it is written; and thus, it shall be. Take heed.

HOPE
Pv 13:12–Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.

THE SHEPHERDS
(or preachers, priests, rabbi, evangelists, missionaries, and internet, tv, and radio bible teachers)
OF THIS BIBLICAL LAODICEAN GENERATION.
Are sheep disciplined? Absolutely, not. They will go wandering off here or there, when left unattended. They become easy prey for the forces of darkness, which seek to kill and devour them.

Ezek 34:2-10 is speaking specifically of the shepherds of Israel, but it also applies to the shepherds around the world today.

    Verse 2–Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD unto the shepherds;
Woe be to the shepherds of Israel that do feed themselves!
should not the shepherds feed the flocks?

    3–Ye eat the fat,
and ye clothe you with the wool,
ye kill them that are fed:
but ye feed not the flock.

4–The diseased have ye not strengthened,
neither have ye healed that which was sick,
neither have ye bound up that which was broken,
neither have ye brought again that which was driven away,
    neither have ye sought that which was lost;
but with force and with cruelty have ye ruled them.

5–And they were scattered, because there is no shepherd:
and they became meat to all the beasts of the field, when they were scattered.

6–My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and upon every high hill:
yea, my flock was scattered upon all the face of the earth, and none did search or seek after them.

This is what happens when a saved person has no shepherd to feed them. When they are left alone to themselves, they become a prey to Satan, which can easily catch them and deceive them, because there is no good shepherd over them to watch for their soul. In other words, they die spiritually and perish.

    Verse 7–Therefore, ye shepherds, hear the word of the LORD;

    8–As I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely because my flock became a prey, and my flock became meat to every beast of the field, because there was no shepherd, neither did my shepherds search for my flock, but the shepherds fed themselves, and fed not my flock;

    9–Therefore, O ye shepherds, hear the word of the LORD;

10–Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against the shepherds; and I will require my flock at their hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the flock; neither shall the shepherds feed themselves any more; for I will deliver my flock from their mouth, that they may not be meat for them.

PLAGUES CAN COME ON YOU––HOW?
    Through financial reverses,
    through accidents,
    through storms of life,
    through mental anguish,
    through pain,
and through sickness, just to mention some.

SOME CONDITIONS TO BE HEALED
(Reasons you may be sick, and what you can do to please the Lord so He may heal you)
2 Chr 7:14–If my people, which are called by my name, shall
    humble themselves,
    and pray,
    and seek my face,
    and turn from their wicked ways;
then will I hear from heaven,
    and will forgive their sin,
    and will heal their land.

    Jere 3:22–Return,
    ye backsliding children,
and I will heal your backslidings. Behold, we come unto thee; for thou art the LORD our God.

    Pv 3:5-8–Trust in the LORD with all thine heart;
and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6–In all thy ways acknowledge him,
and he shall direct thy paths.
7–Be not wise in thine own eyes:
    fear the LORD,
    and depart from evil.
8–It shall be health to thy navel,
    and marrow to thy bones.

Hos 5:13,15–When Ephraim saw his sickness,
    and Judah saw his wound,
then went Ephraim to the Assyrian, and sent to king Jareb:
yet could he not heal you, nor cure you of your wound.
15–I will go and return to my place,
    till they acknowledge their offence,
    and seek my face:
in their affliction they will seek me early.

Mt 13:15–For this people’s heart is waxed gross,
and their ears are dull of hearing,
    and their eyes they have closed;
lest at any time they should see with their eyes,
    and hear with their ears,
and should understand with their heart,
    and should be converted,
    and I should heal them.

Lk 17:15–And one of them, when he saw that he was healed,
    turned back,
and with a loud voice glorified God,

Ja 5:16–Confess your faults one to another,
    and pray one for another,
    that ye may be healed.
The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

1 Pe 2:24,25–Who his own self
bare our sins in his own body on the tree,
that we, being dead to sins,
    should live unto righteousness:
by whose stripes ye were healed. For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned
unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

Exo 15:26–And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God,
and wilt do that which is right in his sight,     and wilt give ear to his commandments,
    and keep all his statutes,
I will put none of these diseases upon thee,
which I have brought upon the Egyptians:
for I am the LORD that healeth thee.

Ps 147:3–He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.

Mal 4:2–But unto you that fear my name
    shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings;
and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

Ps 42:11–Why art thou cast down, O my soul?
and why art thou disquieted within me?
    hope thou in God:
for I shall yet praise him,
who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

    Pv 4:20–22–My son,
    attend to my words;
incline thine ear unto my sayings.
    Let them not depart from thine eyes;
keep them in the midst of thine heart.
For they are life unto those that find them,
and health to all their flesh.

    Pv 4:23–27–Keep thy heart with all diligence;
for out of it are the issues of life.
Put away from thee a froward mouth,
and perverse lips put far from thee.
Let thine eyes look right on,
and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.
Ponder the path of thy feet,
and let all thy ways be established.
Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.

Pv 12:18–There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword:
but the tongue of the wise is health.

Pv 13:17–A wicked messenger falleth into mischief:
but a faithful ambassador is health.

Isa 58:7,8–Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry,
and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house?
    when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him;
and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?
Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rearward.

Exo 23:25–And ye shall serve the LORD your God,
    and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water;
and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

Isa 26:3-Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace,
whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Lk 5:12,13–And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And he put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will: be thou clean. And immediately the leprosy departed from him.

Lk 9:6–And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing every where.

Lk 9:11–And the people, when they knew it, followed him: and he received them, and spake unto them of the kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing.

PRAYERS FOR HEALING
2 Ki 20:1–6–In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live. Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto the LORD, saying, I beseech thee, O LORD, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore. And it came to pass, afore Isaiah was gone out into the middle court, that the word of the LORD came to him, saying, Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the LORD. And I will add unto thy days fifteen years.

Ps 6:2–9–Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are vexed. My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O LORD, how long? Return, O LORD, deliver my soul: oh save me for thy mercies' sake. …
I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears. Mine eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all mine enemies. Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the LORD hath heard the voice of my weeping. The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer.

Jer 17:14–Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.

Ps 30:2–O LORD my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.

HOW HEALINGS ARE TO BE DONE
Done by the name of Jesus:
    Acts 4:30–
By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.

    Must believe:
    Mk 16:17,18–
And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

    Sent His Word:
    Ps 107:20–
He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

    Speak the Word:
    Mt 8:8–
The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.

    Anoint with oil:
    Mk 6:13–
And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them.

    Lay hands on the sick:
    Mk 8:23–25–
And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought. And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking. After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.

Pray and lay hands on the sick:
    Acts 28:8–
And it came to pass, that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and of a bloody flux: to whom Paul entered in, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him.

Call for the elders. Pray over the sick, anointing with oil in the name of the Lord.
Sick is to confess his faults, and pray for others:
    Ja 5:14–16–
Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

AND HE CAST (or drove) OUT (or expelled)

THE SPIRITS

(or) MANY (DEMONS);

WITH HIS WORD,

AND (DEMONS) ALSO CAME OUT OF MANY, CRYING OUT, AND SAYING, (YOU) (ARE THE) CHRIST THE SON OF GOD. AND HE REBUKING THEM

AND

(DID NOT ALLOW) THE DEVILS TO SPEAK, BECAUSE THEY KNEW

HIM (or Who He was).

THAT HE WAS (the) CHRIST (or Messiah).

THAT IT MIGHT BE FULFILLED WHICH WAS SPOKEN BY (ISAIAH) THE PROPHET, SAYING, HIMSELF TOOK OUR INFIRMITIES (or weaknesses), AND BARE (or carried away) OUR SICKNESSES (or diseases).

JESUS WENT TO PRAY
30 YEARS PLUS 10 MONTHS
AND IN THE (early) MORNING,

AND WHEN IT WAS DAY (or at daybreak),

(Jesus) RISING UP (WHILE IT WAS STILL DARK-NASB),

HE (JESUS)

WENT OUT, AND

DEPARTED

AND WENT

INTO A SOLITARY (or lonely) PLACE,

(TO) A (DESERTED) PLACE:

AND THERE (He) PRAYED.

AND SIMON AND THEY THAT WERE WITH HIM (WENT TO LOOK FOR HIM-NIV).

AND WHEN THEY HAD FOUND HIM, THEY SAID (TO) HIM, (EVERYONE IS LOOKING) FOR (YOU).

AND (JESUS) SAID (TO) THEM,

LET US GO (somewhere else) INTO THE NEXT (or nearby) TOWNS (or villages), (in order) THAT I MAY PREACH THERE ALSO:

I MUST PREACH THE (Good News of the-JNT) KINGDOM OF GOD TO OTHER CITIES (or towns) ALSO:

FOR THEREFORE CAME I FORTH (or that is why I have come-NIV) (I have to proclaim the message there too-JNT).

JESUS PREACHED AND
HEALED IN GALILEE
30 YEARS PLUS 10 MONTHS
TO 31 YEARS PLUS 5 MONTHS
AND JESUS WENT

AND HE PREACHED IN THEIR SYNAGOGUES

(THROUGHOUT)

ALL GALILEE,

AND CAST OUT (DEMONS).

TEACHING IN THEIR SYNAGOGUES, AND PREACHING (or proclaiming) THE GOSPEL (or the Good News) OF THE KINGDOM, AND HEALING ALL (KINDS) OF SICKNESS AND ALL (KINDS) OF DISEASE AMONG THE PEOPLE.

AND (then) (THE NEWS ABOUT HIM-NASB) WENT (or spread) THROUGHOUT ALL SYRIA: AND (THE PEOPLE) BROUGHT (TO) HIM ALL SICK (or ill) PEOPLE THAT WERE (SUFFERING) WITH (VARIOUS) DISEASES AND (those suffering severe) TORMENTS (or pains), AND THOSE WHICH WERE POSSESSED WITH (or held in the power of-JNT) DEVILS (or demons), AND THOSE WHICH WERE (EPILEPTICS) (or having seizures), AND THOSE THAT HAD THE PALSY (or paralytics, or the paralyzed); AND HE HEALED THEM.

AND THERE FOLLOWED HIM (HUGE CROWDS) FROM GALILEE, AND FROM DECAPOLIS (or the Ten Towns-JNT), AND FROM JERUSALEM, AND FROM (JUDEA), AND FROM BEYOND (the region across the-NIV) JORDAN.

IN A CERTAIN CITY
JESUS CLEANSES A LEPER
30 YEARS PLUS 10 MONTHS
AND IT CAME TO PASS, WHEN HE WAS IN A CERTAIN CITY (or one of the towns-NIV),

AND, BEHOLD, THERE CAME (unto Him) A LEPER (or a man afflicted with a repulsive skin disease-JNT)

BEHOLD A MAN (came) (who was) (COMPLETELY COVERED WITH) LEPROSY (or a repulsive skin disease-JNT): WHO SEEING JESUS

AND (KNELT BEFORE) HIM,

(and) FELL ON HIS FACE (to the ground),

BESEECHING (or begged) HIM,

SAYING, LORD, IF (YOU) (ARE WILLING), (YOU) (CAN) MAKE ME CLEAN.

AND JESUS

MOVED (or filled) WITH COMPASSION (or pity),

(STRETCHED OUT) HIS HAND, AND TOUCHED HIM, SAYING, (I AM WILLING); BE THOU (CLEANSED).

AND AS SOON AS HE HAD SPOKEN,

AND (AT ONCE) HIS LEPROSY

DEPARTED FROM HIM,

AND HE

WAS CLEANSED (or cured).

AND HE

STRAITLY (or sternly)

(WARNED) HIM (with a strong warning–NIV),

AND (then) JESUS (SAID) (TO) HIM,

SEE (that) (YOU)

TELL NO MAN;

SAY NOTHING TO ANY MAN:

BUT GO

(YOUR) WAY,

AND

(SHOW) (YOURSELF) TO THE PRIEST (and let the cohen examine you-JNT), AND OFFER

FOR (YOUR) CLEANSING

THE GIFT (or sacrifice, or present the offering)

ACCORDING

(to) THOSE THINGS

THAT MOSES COMMANDED, FOR A TESTIMONY (TO) THEM.

AND (IMMEDIATELY) SENT HIM AWAY;

BUT (instead) HE WENT OUT, AND BEGAN TO (PROCLAIM) IT MUCH (or freely), AND TO BLAZE (or spread) ABROAD THE MATTER (or news) (TO SUCH AN EXTENT–NASB), THAT JESUS COULD NO MORE OPENLY (or publicly) ENTER INTO (A) CITY,

BUT (yet) SO MUCH THE MORE WENT THERE (THE NEWS) ABROAD OF HIM (or the news about Him spread all the more–NIV): AND (HUGE CROWDS) CAME TOGETHER TO HEAR (Him), AND TO BE HEALED BY HIM OF THEIR (SICKNESSES).

AND HE (however) (often) WITHDREW HIMSELF

BUT WAS (OUTSIDE)

IN (the) DESERT (or unpopulated) PLACES:

AND PRAYED.

AND (yet) THEY CAME TO HIM FROM (EVERYWHERE).

    The verses continue–

Mt 8:16 (pt 7), Mk 1:34 (pt 7)  AND HE (which is Jesus) CAST (or drove) OUT (or expelled)

Mt 8:16 (pt 8)–                    THE SPIRITS

    Mk 1:34 (pt 8)–                    (or) MANY (DEMONS);

Mt 8:16 (pt 9)–                    WITH HIS WORD,

Lk 4:41 (pt 1)–                    AND (DEMONS) ALSO CAME OUT OF MANY,
    CRYING OUT, AND SAYING,
(YOU) (ARE THE) CHRIST THE SON OF GOD.
    AND HE REBUKING THEM

    Mk 1:34 (pt 9)–                    AND

Mk 1:34 (pt 10), ref Lk 4:41 (pt 2)  (DID NOT ALLOW) THE DEVILS TO SPEAK,
    BECAUSE THEY KNEW

Mk 1:34 (pt 11)–                    HIM (or Who He was).

Lk 4:41 (pt 3)–                    THAT HE WAS (the) CHRIST (or Messiah)
. The devils knew that Jesus is the Christ, that He is God as it is written–Ja 2:19–Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. Yet man, in all his wisdom does not know this. The verses continue–

Mt 8:17–                    THAT IT MIGHT BE FULFILLED
WHICH WAS SPOKEN BY (ISAIAH) THE PROPHET, SAYING,
HIMSELF TOOK OUR INFIRMITIES (or weaknesses),
AND BARE (or carried away) OUR SICKNESSES (or diseases)
.

JESUS WENT TO PRAY
30 YEARS PLUS 10 MONTHS
Mk 1:35 (pt 1)–                    AND IN THE (early) MORNING

Lk 4:42 (pt 1)–                    AND WHEN IT WAS DAY (or at daybreak),

Mk 1:35 (pt 2)–                    (Jesus) RISING UP (WHILE IT WAS STILL DARK-NASB), (or we may say perhaps around 6am),

Lk 4:42 (pt 2)–                    HE (Jesus)

Mk 1:35 (pt 4)–                    WENT OUT, AND

Mk 1:35 (pt 5), ref Lk 4:42 (pt 3)–                    DEPARTED

Lk 4:42 (pt 4)–                    AND WENT

Mk 1:35 (pt 6)–                    INTO A SOLITARY (or lonely) PLACE,

Lk 4:42 (pt 5)–                    (TO) A (DESERTED) PLACE:

Mk 1:35 (pt 7)–                  AND THERE (He) PRAYED.
Note, Jesus, communicated with His father in prayer privately. Note, in this case he prayed early in the morning.

Mk 1:36–                            AND SIMON AND THEY THAT WERE WITH HIM (WENT TO LOOK FOR HIM-NIV). Perhaps you also have sought for a place to be alone, to pray. And as you are praying, others find you.

Mk 1:37–                    AND WHEN THEY HAD FOUND HIM,
    THEY SAID (TO) HIM,
    (EVERYONE IS LOOKING) FOR (YOU)
. Some of us might react with anger if we are trying to be alone and pray. Jesus did not react that way at all. Jesus is love.

Mk 1:38 (pt 1), ref Lk 4:43 (pt 1)–                    AND (JESUS) SAID (TO) THEM,

Mk 1:38 (pt 2)–                    LET US GO (somewhere else)
INTO THE NEXT (or nearby) TOWNS (or villages),
(in order) THAT I MAY PREACH THERE ALSO:

    Lk 4:43 (pt 2)–                    I MUST PREACH
THE (Good News of the-JNT) KINGDOM OF GOD
TO OTHER CITIES (or towns) ALSO:

Mk 1:38 (pt 3)–                    FOR THEREFORE CAME I FORTH (or that is why I have come-NIV) (I have to proclaim the message there too-JNT).
There are many reasons why Jesus came and what He was called to do. This is only one.

JESUS PREACHED AND
HEALED IN GALILEE
30 YEARS PLUS 10 MONTHS
TO 31 YEARS PLUS 5 MONTHS
Mt 4:23 (pt 1), ref Mk 1:39 (pt 1)–                    AND JESUS WENT

Mk 1:39 (pt 2), ref Lk 4:44 (pt 1)–                    AND HE PREACHED
    IN THEIR SYNAGOGUES

Mt 4:23 (pt 2), ref Mk 1:39 (pt 3)–                    (THROUGHOUT)

Mt 4:23 (pt 3), ref Mk 1:39 (pt 4, Lk 4:44 (pt 2)–  ALL GALILEE,

Mk 1:39 (pt 5)–                    AND CAST OUT (DEMONS).

Mt 4:23 (pt 4)–                    TEACHING IN THEIR SYNAGOGUES,
AND PREACHING (or proclaiming) THE GOSPEL (or the Good News)
    OF THE KINGDOM,
AND HEALING ALL (KINDS) OF SICKNESS
    AND ALL (KINDS) OF DISEASE
    AMONG THE PEOPLE.
The word teach appears in the Bible about 108 times and teaching about 25. The word preached appears in the Bible approximately 61 times, the word preach about 50 times and preaching about 27 times. Jesus is the Word. He preached God’s Word. He was a living example of God’s Word. He preached very little about Himself other than what He was called to do by His Father. How is it then, that most preachers in this latter day generation preach all sorts of stories, and about themselves, and their families. Your faith cannot grow apart from God’s Word. It is obvious that most preachers know and understand little of God’s Word even though they may have many high theology degrees. Having many high college degrees in theology is no indication at all that a person is born again or is of God at all. On the outside many preachers look like they are of God, but in reality, on the inside they are as wolves. Do Satan’s ministers believe they are of Satan? Absolutely not. They are blind leaders of the blind. Many follow them right to the lake of fire.

Mt 4:24–                    AND (then) (THE NEWS ABOUT HIM-NASB)
WENT (or spread) THROUGHOUT ALL SYRIA:
AND (THE PEOPLE) BROUGHT (TO) HIM
ALL SICK (or ill) PEOPLE THAT WERE
    (a) SUFFERING) WITH (VARIOUS) DISEASES
    (b) AND (those suffering severe) TORMENTS (or pains),
    (c) AND THOSE WHICH WERE POSSESSED WITH (or held in the power of-JNT) DEVILS (or demons),
    (d) AND THOSE WHICH WERE (EPILEPTICS) (or having seizures),
    (e) AND THOSE THAT HAD THE PALSY (or paralytics, or the paralyzed);
    AND HE (which is Jesus)
    HEALED THEM.

Mt 4:25–                    AND THERE FOLLOWED HIM (HUGE CROWDS) When the words “huge crowds” is used, it often indicates many thousands of people. Verse continues–
    FROM GALILEE,
AND FROM DECAPOLIS (or the Ten Towns–JNT),
    AND FROM JERUSALEM,
    AND FROM (JUDEA),
AND FROM BEYOND (the region across the–NIV) JORDAN
. We may say that the people that followed Jesus came from many areas and from distances perhaps as far away as 100 miles.

IN A CERTAIN CITY
JESUS CLEANSES A LEPER
30 YEARS PLUS 10 MONTHS
Lk 5:12 (pt 1)–                    AND IT CAME TO PASS,
WHEN HE WAS IN A CERTAIN CITY (or one of the towns-NIV),

Mt 8:2 (pt 1), ref Mk 1:40 (pt 1)–    AND, BEHOLD, THERE CAME (unto Him)
A LEPER (or a man afflicted with a repulsive skin disease-JNT)

Lk 5:12 (pt 2)–                    BEHOLD A MAN (came)
(who was) (COMPLETELY COVERED WITH) LEPROSY (or a repulsive skin disease-JNT):
    WHO SEEING JESUS

Mt 8:2 (pt 2), ref Mk 1:40 (pt 3)–    AND (KNELT BEFORE) HIM,

Lk 5:12 (pt 4)–                    (and) FELL ON HIS FACE (to the ground),

Mk 1:40 (pt 2), ref Lk 5:12 (pt 5)–    BESEECHING (or begged) HIM,

Mt 8:2 (pt 3), ref Mk 1:40 (pt 4), Lk 5:12 (pt 6)–    SAYING, LORD, IF (YOU) (ARE WILLING),
    (YOU) (CAN) MAKE ME CLEAN.
Note, the man humbled himself, and had faith in Jesus. He came with what we may call a sweet spirit, not an accusing, angry spirit.

Mt 8:3 (pt 1), ref Mk 1:41 (pt 1), Lk 5:12 (pt 1)–    AND JESUS

Mk 1:41 (pt 2)–                    MOVED (or filled) WITH COMPASSION (or pity),

Mt 8:3 (pt 2), ref Mk 1:41 (pt 3), Lk 5:13 (pt 2)–    (STRETCHED OUT) HIS HAND,
    AND TOUCHED HIM, SAYING,
(I AM WILLING); BE THOU (CLEANSED).

Mk 1:42 (pt 1)–                    AND AS SOON AS HE HAD SPOKEN,

Mt 8:3 (pt 3), ref Mk 1:42 (pt 2), Lk 5:13 (pt 3)–    AND (AT ONCE) HIS LEPROSY

Mk 1:42 (pt 3), ref Lk 5:13 (pt 4)–    DEPARTED FROM HIM,

Mk 1:42 (pt 4)–                    AND HE

Mt 8:3 (pt 4), ref Mk 1:42 (pt 5)–    WAS CLEANSED (or cured).
Jesus had complete and total control over all sicknesses, and even death itself. As seen in other Scriptures, He also had complete and total control over the weather.

Mk 1:43 (pt 1), ref Lk 5:14 (pt 1)-AND HE (which is Jesus)

Mk 1:43 (pt 2)–                    STRAITLY (or sternly)

Mk 1:43 (pt 3), ref Lk 5:14 (pt 2)–    (WARNED) HIM (with a strong warning-NIV),

Mt 8:4 (pt 1), ref Mk 1:44 (pt 1)–                    AND (then) JESUS (SAID) (TO) HIM,

Mt 8:4 (pt 2), ref Mk 1:44 (pt 2)–                    SEE (that) (YOU)

    Mt 8:4 (pt 3), ref Lk 5:14 (pt 3)–                    TELL NO MAN;

Mk 1:44 (pt 3)–                    SAY NOTHING TO ANY MAN:

Mt 8:4 (pt 4), ref Mk 1:44 (pt 4), Lk 5:14 (pt 4)–    BUT GO

Mt 8:4 (pt 5), ref Mk 1:44 (pt 5)–                    (YOUR) WAY,

    Lk 5:14 (pt 5)–                    AND

Mt 8:4 (pt 6), ref Mk 1:44 (pt 6), Lk 5:14 (pt 6)–    (SHOW) (YOURSELF) TO THE PRIEST (and let the Cohen examine you-JNT),
    AND OFFER

Mk 1:44 (pt 7), ref Lk 5:14 (pt 7)–                    FOR (YOUR) CLEANSING

Mt 8:4 (pt 7)–                    THE GIFT (or sacrifice, or present the offering)

    Lk 5:14 (pt 8)–                    ACCORDING

Mk 1:44 (pt 8)–                    (to) THOSE THINGS

Mt 8:4 (pt 8), ref Mk 1:44 (pt 9), Lk 5:14 (pt 9)–    THAT MOSES COMMANDED,     FOR A TESTIMONY (TO) THEM.

Mk 1:43 (pt 4)–                    AND (IMMEDIATELY)
    SENT HIM AWAY;
First Jesus heals him, and then gives him specific commands that he is to obey. When a person comes to Jesus in faith and repentance to save him, he is also given specific commands. He is to obey God and be baptized by full immersion in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. He is also to get into God's Word, for it is only through God's Word that faith can grow. Through faith, our obedience to Him grows. Through God's Word we begin to understand what sin is in the eyes of a Holy God, and as we understand we grow and begin to be conformed to His image.

Mk 1:45 (pt 1)–                    BUT (instead) HE WENT OUT,
AND BEGAN TO (PROCLAIM) IT MUCH (or freely),
AND TO BLAZE (or spread) ABROAD THE MATTER (or news)
    (TO SUCH AN EXTENT–NASB),
THAT JESUS COULD NO MORE OPENLY (or publicly)
    ENTER INTO (A) CITY.
There are two voices. There is the voice of God, and there is the voice of the devil which is also called the stranger’s voice. God told the man to say nothing to any man. Now the man’s obedience was going to be tested.
However, his emotions, prompted by the stranger’s voice told him to do otherwise. He disobeyed God. In doing so, he hindered the work that Jesus was doing so Jesus could no more openly enter into a city. Which voice do you follow, the voice of your emotions or the voice of God? This man would not obey Jesus. Are you the same way? To obey is better than sacrifice. We are to cast down imaginations and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of Word of God. We are to bring into captivity every thought to be in obedience to God’s Word–ref 2 Cor 10:5. It is not those that say they are saved or say they love God that will enter heaven. It is those that obey His Word and what He tells them to do.

Lk 5:15–                    BUT (yet) SO MUCH THE MORE
WENT THERE (THE NEWS) ABROAD OF HIM (or the news about Him spread all the more–NIV):
    AND (HUGE CROWDS)
Often times when huge crowds are mentioned it can be many thousands of men plus women and children. These–
    CAME TOGETHER TO HEAR (Him),
AND TO BE HEALED BY HIM OF THEIR (SICKNESSES).
Often times the Word of God was preached first and then the sick were healed afterwards.

Lk 5:16 (pt 1)–                    AND HE (which is Jesus) (however) (often) WITHDREW HIMSELF.

Mk 1:45 (pt 2)–                    BUT WAS (OUTSIDE)

Mk 1:45 (pt 3), ref Lk 5:16 (pt 2)–                    IN (the) DESERT (or unpopulated) PLACES:

Lk 5:16 (pt 3)–                    AND PRAYED.

Mk 1:45 (pt 4)–                    AND (yet) THEY CAME TO HIM FROM (EVERYWHERE).
